Cindy Rodriguez Singh of Texas has been arrested by the FBI on charges related to the death of her six-year-old son, as announced by FBI Director Kash Patel. Singh’s last known location was India, where she traveled with her husband and six other children in March 2023 after authorities began investigating the disappearance of her son. An Interpol Red Notice was issued, leading to her apprehension in India, and she has now been extradited back to the United States to face charges in Texas.
Following a welfare check in March 2023, authorities discovered the child hadn’t been seen since October 2022. Investigations revealed the child had several health and developmental challenges. Singh allegedly misled officials, claiming her son was in Mexico. Two days later, Singh and her family left for India, without the missing child. She was subsequently added to the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list in July. Director Patel acknowledged the collaboration with Indian authorities and Interpol, highlighting the FBI’s commitment to pursuing justice across borders. Singh will now be handled by Texas authorities to address the charges against her.
