Airtel and Jio, prominent telecom providers in India, have recently discontinued their introductory budget plans. This strategic move is expected to increase their average revenue per user. Consequently, consumers face higher costs. Following suit, Vi has also adjusted its offerings to align with these market changes.
Airtel’s discontinued plan was priced at ₹249, providing 1 GB of daily data for 28 days. Jio’s discontinued plan offered the same 1 GB of daily data, bundled with unlimited calls and a Jio Cinema subscription.
Airtel’s new budget entry-level plan is priced at ₹299. This plan provides users with 1 GB of daily data, unlimited calls, and a complimentary Perplexity AI subscription valued at ₹17,000, along with spam call protection.
Airtel also offers a ₹349 plan, which includes 1.5 GB of daily data and unlimited calls, both valid for 28 days. Subscribers of this plan also receive a free Perplexity AI subscription worth ₹17,000, along with Airtel’s spam call protection.
Jio’s updated entry-level plan is priced at ₹299, offering 1 GB of daily data, unlimited calls, and a 28-day validity. The plan includes complimentary subscriptions to Jio TV and Jio Cloud, valued at ₹2,999, along with Jio’s spam call protection.
Jio also presents a ₹349 plan. This plan offers 2 GB of daily data, unlimited calls, and a 28-day validity. Subscribers also get complimentary subscriptions to Jio TV and Jio Cloud, worth ₹2,999, along with Jio’s spam call protection.
