The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) presented a model of the Indian Space Station (BAS) module at the two-day National Space Day celebrations held at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. India plans to launch the first module of its indigenous space station, BAS, by 2028, joining the select group of nations operating orbital laboratories. Currently, there are two operational orbital laboratories: the International Space Station, managed by five space agencies, and China’s Tiangong space station. India aims to establish five BAS modules by 2035 as part of its ambitious plans for the space sector.
