Cristiano Ronaldo’s quest for a major trophy with Al Nassr has encountered further disappointment after the club’s loss in the Saudi Cup Final against Al Ahli. The match concluded in a 2-2 draw after regular time, but Al Ahli secured victory on penalties. This defeat marks Ronaldo’s third consecutive loss in finals with Al Nassr, following previous defeats against Al Hilal in the Saudi Cup Final 2024 and the Kings Cup 2024. Despite personal achievements, Ronaldo has yet to taste victory at the club level. His most recent international trophy was the 2025 Nations League, but his last major club success was in 2021 with Juventus. He helped Juventus win 2-1 over Atalanta in the Coppa Italia. Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in 2023 after his second stint at Manchester United. Now 40 years old, he continues to perform at a high level. Prior to this encounter, he had already scored 99 goals in 111 games for Al Nassr, with his 100th goal in Saudi Arabia being a significant milestone. Notably, Sporting CP is the only other club where he did not reach the 100-goal mark.
