In Vaishali, Bihar, a RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) party block general secretary, Shivshankar Singh, was fatally shot by unidentified assailants. The incident occurred in the Bidupur police station area of Pakauri. Singh was killed on the spot. Following the murder, RJD workers and local residents expressed outrage, setting up roadblocks with bamboo and burning tires near Hajipur Bidupur Pakouli, causing a traffic jam. Protesters also staged a sit-in on the road, voicing their anger against the government and the administration. According to family members, Singh was traveling to his new home in Pakouli on a motorcycle when he was attacked. The assailants, who remain at large, fired multiple shots at him. Singh was a retired employee of the electricity department and was also involved in land dealings. Police have taken possession of the body and sent it for a post-mortem examination while launching an investigation into the incident.
