Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal met with party MLAs, councilors, and former candidates, addressing various issues including US President Donald Trump’s tariffs, alleged harassment of AAP leaders through fabricated cases, and the deteriorating governance in Delhi. Kejriwal stated his unwavering commitment to the nation, declaring he would sacrifice everything for the country but would not compromise for power, the party, or family.
Kejriwal criticized President Trump’s imposition of a 50% tariff, claiming Prime Minister Modi had conceded to Trump’s pressure. He asserted that the entire nation knows that Modi has compromised the country for the sake of one individual. Kejriwal alleged a hidden alliance between the Congress and BJP. He pointed out that while BJP targeted AAP leaders with fabricated cases, the Gandhi family has remained untouched despite cases like the National Herald. He claimed that within six months, the BJP had wrecked Delhi, making people realize the value of the AAP government.
Kejriwal also discussed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raid on AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj’s residence. He detailed the events of the raid, including the interrogation, the pressure to alter Bhardwaj’s statement, and the attempts to intimidate his wife. Kejriwal emphasized Bhardwaj’s resolve and his willingness to face jail time, mirroring the experiences of other AAP leaders. He stated that such tactics are common in politics, where opponents are targeted with false cases.
Kejriwal then accused the Congress and BJP of secret alliances, highlighting that the public sees the hypocrisy of cases. He questioned why no Congress leaders have been jailed while AAP leaders face fabricated charges. He also referenced Subramanian Swamy’s interview, where Swamy claimed Modi intervened to protect Rahul Gandhi from imprisonment. Kejriwal also referenced the 2014 Haryana elections, where the BJP won on the promise of action against Robert Vadra, but no action was taken. He asserted that the public understands the truth and is aware of the alleged Congress-BJP alliance.
Kejriwal declared that the AAP’s focus is on serving the nation, not making political compromises. He reiterated his dedication, stating he would sacrifice everything for the country but would not compromise for power, the party, or family.
He further criticized the BJP’s governance in Delhi, stating that in six months, the BJP has caused chaos in Delhi, leading people to miss the AAP government. He cited issues like power cuts, increased private school fees, damaged roads, and water supply problems. Kejriwal pointed out that the BJP’s actions have created hardships for the people, and they will have to wait five years to remove the BJP from power. He also claimed the BJP has negatively impacted the entire country.
