Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor’s film, Param Sundari, which premiered on August 29th, has garnered significant attention. The fresh pairing of Malhotra and Kapoor has resonated with audiences, with the film’s chemistry being well-received. Initial box office figures for the opening day have been released. Despite competition from existing films such as ‘Vash Level 2’, ‘Kuli’, ‘War 2’, ‘Hridaypoorvam’ and ‘Lokah’, Param Sundari has performed commendably. Impressively, Param Sundari has surpassed the first-day earnings of eight of Sidharth Malhotra’s previous films.
According to Sacnilk, Param Sundari earned ₹7.25 crore on its opening day, marking one of the highest openings for Malhotra. The film’s performance slightly exceeded that of Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya,’ which had a similar release scope. The trailer and songs of Param Sundari have generated positive buzz, particularly among younger audiences. While pre-sales were moderate, the film is expected to gain traction due to its family-friendly content. The film, directed by Tushar Jalota, is a love story, with a production budget of ₹40 to ₹50 crore. The film is on track to recover its budget if the current earning trend continues.
