A 66-year-old retired engineer residing in Sector 78, Noida, was defrauded online, resulting in a loss of Rs 9.63 lakh. The police reported that the incident occurred after the engineer clicked on an advertisement, leading to the hacking of his mobile device and the theft of his credit card information. The victim, who resides in a high-rise building, chose to remain anonymous. He was tricked into revealing personal and credit card details, which the fraudsters exploited to steal the substantial sum of money.
