Bangladesh’s goal-scoring spree took place during the first match of the tournament on Saturday, between Bangladesh and Chinese Taipei. The first half saw both teams tied at 2-2, with Chinese Taipei showing resilience, surprising Bangladesh. However, the Bangladeshi team, participating in the tournament in place of Pakistan, seized control and began scoring relentlessly. Bangladesh scored six goals in the second half, achieving a stunning 8-3 victory.
In the other match of the same pool, the competition was fierce, resulting in an upset. The match between Korea and Malaysia was highly anticipated, and it did not disappoint. The first half ended with a 1-1 tie, leading to expectations that the final outcome would be decided by one or two goals. However, Malaysia completely changed the game after the break. The team consistently attacked the Korean goal, scoring multiple goals in the second half and winning the match 4-1.
All eyes are now on ‘Super Sunday’ on August 31st, when Pool A matches will be played. The most anticipated match will be between hosts India and Japan. Both teams had a strong start to the tournament. India won their first match against China in a thrilling contest with a score of 4-3, while Japan dominated their first match, winning 7-0. The second match of the day will be between China and Kazakhstan.
