An Israeli airstrike in Sana’a, Yemen, resulted in the death of Ahmed al-Rahawi, the Prime Minister of the Iran-backed Houthi rebels. The Houthi rebels, supported by Iran, confirmed the death on Saturday. They stated in a released statement that Ahmed al-Rahawi was killed in an attack that occurred in Sana’a on Thursday. Several ministers from his government also died in the attack.
On Thursday, the Israeli military announced that it had conducted a precise strike on a military base of the Houthi terrorist regime located in the Sana’a region of Yemen. The rebels’ statement indicated that al-Rahawi had been serving as the Prime Minister of the Houthi-led government since August 2024.
