An ‘Atal Parisar’ has been constructed in Ward No. 22 of Sasa Holi in memory of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The inauguration was done by Raipur MP Brijmohan Agrawal, Revenue Minister Tank Ram Verma, Municipal President Chandrakala Khu Man Verma, and other guests after performing rituals. The Atal Parisar was constructed with a sanctioned amount of 28.16 lakh rupees under the infrastructure fund. It features an attractive statue, a pedestal, and flooring and walls adorned with attractive granite stones, all illuminated with electricity.
Brijmohan Agrawal stated that it was a proud moment to inaugurate the Atal Parisar. He highlighted that Atal Ji’s personality was held in high regard, even by the opposition. He emphasized Atal Ji’s valuable contribution to the development of villages, helping farmers escape the clutches of moneylenders, and the success of the Kisan Credit Scheme. Tank Ram Verma mentioned that Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a great statesman, a good poet, writer, and editor, which led to him being awarded the Bharat Ratna. He noted that Atal Ji made India a nuclear-powered nation by conducting nuclear tests in Pokhran. The Prime Minister’s Rural Roads Scheme was implemented by him to create a network of roads in villages, ensuring that he would always be remembered. Municipal President Smt. Chandrakala Khu Man Verma thanked Chief Minister Sai and the Chhattisgarh government for establishing the statue of the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. She added that Atal Bihari Vajpayee created the state of Chhattisgarh.
