A sensational case has come to light in Darbhanga, Bihar. A husband murdered his own wife by stabbing her with scissors. The deceased has been identified as Sumitra Devi, reportedly 27 years old. The accused husband is identified as Lalbabu. Upon receiving the information, the police took the accused into custody and are conducting an investigation.
The incident took place in Baghauni village of Darbhanga district. Around 2 p.m. on Sunday, the area was shaken when the husband killed his wife. The accused, identified as Lalbabu Das, son of Bhola Das, a resident of Baghauni, killed his 27-year-old wife, Sumitra Devi, with scissors, suspecting her of infidelity.
It is reported that Lalbabu Das had a love marriage with Sumitra Devi of Tarwara village in Biraul police station area about four years ago. They have a three-year-old daughter named Srishti Kumari. Lalbabu lived in Delhi, and some days ago, he found out about his wife’s alleged infidelity. After this, he returned home from Delhi and committed this act.
The police stated that a few days ago, the wife had left her husband’s house and lived with her lover for 15 days. As soon as the husband received the information that his wife had returned home, Lalbabu Das came back from Delhi and, after an argument with his wife, attacked her with scissors, killing her.
Upon receiving information about the incident, SDPO Ashutosh Kumar, along with the police force, reached the spot and arrested the accused. The body was examined, a panchnama was conducted, and it was sent for a post-mortem. The police are currently investigating the matter.
