The murder of a temple priest in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, which caused a sensation, has been solved by the police. The case is linked to an illicit affair. Priest Jageshwar Pathak was involved in an affair with a married woman. The woman’s husband planned the murder and brutally killed the priest. The police arrested the husband and four others, including a minor. The priest was lured under the pretense of performing a ritual and then attacked with a suspension pipe, resulting in his death. The incident occurred on August 31st. The body of priest Jageshwar Pathak was found covered in blood at the Path Baba temple complex in the Takhatpur police station area. He had head injuries. Upon receiving the information about the murder, the police, dog squad, and FSL team arrived at the scene. Bilaspur SSP Rajnesh Singh also reached the spot. Based on the statements of family members and acquaintances, the police were investigating all angles when they discovered the priest’s affair. Some suspects were taken into custody, and the truth of the murder was revealed. The police arrested Suresh, Hemkumar, Dhanraj, Mukesh, and a minor. The police apprehended the culprits within 24 hours.
