In Afghanistan, the wives of nine high-ranking officials are gaining significant attention online. This follows a Taliban government directive mandating women to remove their photos from official documents. This decision particularly affects women seeking to travel abroad.
Following the government’s order, images of the wives of prominent officials began circulating on social media. Questions arose regarding the uniform application of the Taliban’s decree. It was observed that these officials’ wives were able to obtain passports and travel outside Afghanistan with relative ease.
