The Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) has announced that the Ganga Expressway project has reached 89% completion as of August 25th. The authority reported that key aspects of the project, including earthwork and clearing, are entirely finished. The granular sub-base is nearly complete at 96%. The construction of 1,489 structures has been finalized, contributing to the overall progress. The expressway, designed as a fully access-controlled route, stretches from Meerut to Prayagraj, enhancing connectivity throughout the state. Spanning 594 kilometers, the Ganga Expressway is set to become the longest in Uttar Pradesh upon its completion, with a total construction cost exceeding Rs. 36,200 crore.
