In the wake of devastating floods in Afghanistan, cricketer Sharafuddin Ashraf emerged as a hero, providing aid to approximately 300 people. The floods, which occurred last year, caused widespread suffering, leaving many without food or shelter. Ashraf, a member of the Afghanistan national team, stepped up to assist those affected. He coordinated the provision of meals and supplies for those in need. This act of generosity highlights his compassion and dedication to his countrymen.
Ashraf, who is also part of the Afghanistan squad for the 2025 Asia Cup, recently showcased his talent on the field. He was named Player of the Match in a T20 series against the UAE, taking three wickets and contributing significantly to the team’s victory. This performance, combined with his humanitarian efforts, solidifies his image as both a skilled athlete and a caring individual.
After witnessing the devastation firsthand, Ashraf contacted fellow cricketer Rashid Khan to organize assistance. Together with teammates, he arranged for food and essential supplies for those struggling to survive. Ashraf’s actions demonstrate a deep sense of responsibility towards his community, providing critical support during a time of immense hardship.
Ashraf debuted internationally for Afghanistan in 2014 and has played 40 matches, including both T20 and ODI formats. His contribution has been vital, both on and off the field.
