The highly anticipated second season of ‘Wednesday’ is generating significant excitement, particularly with the addition of Lady Gaga to the cast. The series centers on Wednesday, a teenager who attends Nevermore Academy and becomes entangled in mysterious incidents. The new season will follow Wednesday’s efforts to protect her close friend, Enid, after a vision reveals Enid’s potential death.
With the final four episodes of ‘Wednesday Season 2’ set to premiere on Netflix, the conclusion of the first half left viewers in suspense when Tyler Galpin (Hunter Doohan) pushed Wednesday Adams (Jenna Ortega) from a window. The focus now shifts to the unfolding events at Nevermore Academy.
The fourth episode ended on a dramatic note, with Wednesday severely injured in the hospital. This event brings her closer to a hidden, dangerous secret concealed within Nevermore’s shadows. Part 2 will continue the story immediately after this cliffhanger.
Show creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar have stated that the second half of the season will be ‘darker and more complex’ than before.
A new trailer reveals the return of Principal Weems, who was killed in the first season, as Wednesday’s spirit guide. The connection stems from a familial link between Wednesday and Weems, and other spirits refused to aid Wednesday after Goody Adams’ death. They must collaborate to save Enid as Tyler flees the asylum.
‘Wednesday’ features Jenna Ortega in the title role, along with returning cast members Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Georgie Farmer, Naomi J. Ogawa, and Moosa Mostafa. Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor are new additions to the cast. Guest stars include Lady Gaga, Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, and Joonas Suotamo.
Lady Gaga will portray Rosaline Rotwood in ‘Wednesday Season 2.’ In her first look, she is seen with white hair and wearing all white attire. She is also depicted with The Thing, Wednesday’s companion.
‘Wednesday Season 2 Part 2’ consists of four episodes and will be available on Netflix on September 3, 2025, at 3 AM ET.
