To celebrate a decade in the Indian market, Hyundai has released special editions of its popular Creta SUV: the King, King Knight, and King Limited. These three special editions boast various exterior, interior, and feature enhancements. The Creta King, King Limited Edition, and King Knight are new variants of the SUV, aimed at boosting sales in the rapidly growing mid-size market segment.
Price of the Hyundai Creta: The Hyundai Creta range begins with the E variant, with an ex-showroom price of approximately ₹11.10 lakh. The EX variant is priced at ₹12.32 lakh, the S variant at ₹13.54 lakh, and the S(O) variant at ₹14.48 lakh. The new Creta King’s price increases further, ranging from ₹17.88 lakh to ₹20.61 lakh depending on the engine and gearbox. The King Knight and King Limited Edition are even more expensive, exceeding the ₹20 lakh mark.
18-inch Alloy Wheels in the Hyundai Creta: A key feature of the King variants is the inclusion of 18-inch alloy wheels. There is also a new matte black paint option and special badging. In terms of interior features, Hyundai has equipped the driver’s seat with a memory function, an 8-way powered passenger seat with a walk-in function, and a seat back table with cup holders. The King Limited variant showcases branding on cushions, mats, and key covers, while the King Knight features matte alloy wheels.
Feature Upgrades Across the Entire Hyundai Creta Range: Notably, Hyundai hasn’t limited the updates only to the special editions. Features like dual-zone climate control with a touch panel, a dashcam, and wireless smartphone connectivity are also available in several variants, including the Creta N Line. This indicates that customers now expect premium features without necessarily spending a lot extra.
No changes have been made to the 1.5 petrol, 1.5 diesel, and 1.5 turbo-petrol engines of the Hyundai Creta. These engines are paired with manual, CVT, automatic, and DCT gearboxes. The Limited and Knight trims are offered only with automatic transmissions, attracting buyers to the higher-priced segment.
