Following the participation of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and Russian President Vladimir Putin in China’s largest military parade, former President Donald Trump expressed his observations. He noted the parade’s impressiveness, suggesting it was designed to capture his attention, which he acknowledged. However, Trump expressed disappointment with Chinese President Xi Jinping’s speech during the parade, particularly for not acknowledging the United States’ role in supporting China during its independence struggles. He stated that he felt America’s contribution to China’s freedom should have been recognized. Trump had previously accused Xi Jinping of conspiring against the United States, as Putin and Kim Jong Un attended the parade. The parade commemorated the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, with China showcasing its military strength and displaying new military technologies, including a hypersonic missile and underwater drones. Xi Jinping, in his address, assured the nation of its commitment to peaceful development while describing the country as “invincible.” Trump also mentioned his good relations with all involved and expressed his anticipation of observing how these relations would develop further.
