Leg-spinner Amit Mishra, known for bamboozling batsmen with his spin, has retired from professional cricket. Mishra announced his decision to leave the sport on social media on Thursday, September 4th. He had been absent from both the Indian team and the IPL for an extended period, and was also not participating in domestic cricket, leading to his retirement announcement. Mishra represented India in 22 Tests, 36 ODIs, and 10 T20 Internationals. A notable aspect of Mishra’s career is his impressive performance in both domestic cricket and the IPL. However, he didn’t get many opportunities in international cricket due to the presence of Harbhajan Singh and Anil Kumble.
