Yuki Bhambri of India, had a noteworthy performance in the US Open 2025, reaching the semi-finals. However, his journey was cut short in the men’s doubles event following a loss. Bhambri and his partner, Michael Venus, engaged in a challenging match but were ultimately defeated by Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski of Britain. The final score was 7-6 (7-2), 6-7 (5-7), 4-6, played at the Louis Armstrong Stadium in New York. The match began with both teams displaying strong serves and engaging in baseline rallies. Despite Bhambri and Venus initially taking the lead, they were unable to sustain it, and the British duo equalized the score at 5-5. In the second set, the Indo-Kiwi pair came close to a second break in the fifth game but missed their chance. In the sixth game, the British pair gained the lead, putting pressure on Bhambri and Venus. Sailsbury and Skupski secured the tiebreak 7-5. In the final set, Sailsbury and Skupski disrupted Bhambri and Venus’ momentum and served out the remainder of the set, winning 6-4 to advance to the final. Though Bhambri and Venus are out of the tournament, their performance was marked by teamwork and determination against top players.
