Tata Motors has announced price reductions for its vehicles in response to the government’s GST cuts on cars. The price reduction will go into effect on September 22nd and will make Tata cars up to ₹1.50 lakh cheaper. The most significant impact of the GST reduction will be seen on the Tata Nexon, the company’s best-selling model, with prices decreasing by approximately ₹1.55 lakh.
The company stated that the decision to reduce prices for passenger vehicles was made to fully pass on the benefits of the GST reduction to customers. This means that Tata cars will now be available from ₹75,000 to ₹1.45 lakh cheaper starting September 22nd. Shailesh Chandra, MD of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, said that Tata Motors will pass on the full benefit of the GST reduction to its customers, in accordance with the vision of the Prime Minister, the wishes of the Finance Minister, and the company’s customer-first approach.
