The Canadian government has released a report addressing the funding of terrorist organizations, expressing concern over the financial support provided to Khalistani terrorist groups within the country. According to the report issued by the Canadian Department of Finance, various terrorist organizations, including Khalistani extremist groups, are receiving funding from Canada for politically motivated violent activities.
This marks the first time Canada has acknowledged the presence of Khalistani terrorist organizations within its borders and admitted to them receiving funding. Canada has long been considered a haven for organizations such as Babbar Khalsa, the International Sikh Youth Federation, and Sikhs for Justice. India has maintained for a considerable time that Khalistani terrorists have found refuge in Canada, and that the Canadian government has not taken the issue seriously.
