At the TV9 Bharatvarsh Satta Sammelan held in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav reminisced about his childhood. When asked about assisting his father at their tea, jalebi, and poha shop in Ujjain’s tobacco market, he responded that people still recognize him as ‘chaiwala’ (tea seller) and ‘panwala’ (betel leaf seller) because he used to run the shop there. He also studied and contested elections from the same location.
He mentioned that his father had initially turned towards business. Discussing education, he noted that basic education is acquired up to the 10th grade, after which expertise in subjects develops. He added that anyone wanting to pursue a business can choose their path after the 10th grade. His father had told him after the 11th grade that he could study as much as he wanted, but he opened a shop for him.
CM Yadav continued that after his father opened the shop, he got involved in it. He stated that he makes good tea and poha and invited people to come and try it, emphasizing that they would enjoy it. He added that he could also be called a tea seller or someone who rears cows, as these are his values.
