The 12th season of the Pro Kabaddi League saw two more teams finally register their first wins. Bengaluru Bulls and Gujarat Giants, both of whom had a poor start to the season, secured their maiden victories on the same day. In matches held in Visakhapatnam on Saturday, September 6th, Gujarat defeated Tamil Thalaivas in a thrilling contest with a score of 37-28. Meanwhile, Bengaluru overcame Patna Pirates with an 8-point margin, achieving their first win in four matches. Patna suffered their third consecutive loss and remains the only team yet to open their account.
At the Viswanadh Sports Club Stadium, Bengaluru faced the three-time champions Patna in the 17th match of the season. Bengaluru, having lost their initial three matches, desperately needed a win, and their attack and defense proved formidable in this match. With excellent performances from Alireza Mirjafari (10 points) and Ashish Malik (8 points), Bengaluru defeated Patna with a score of 38-30.
