Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the controversy surrounding alleged abusive remarks made about his late mother during a Bihar rally. He criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav for their alleged role in the incident, emphasizing that his mother had never been involved in politics. The Prime Minister stated that the verbal abuse occurred on a campaign stage of the Opposition bloc and that such actions were an affront to all mothers and sisters.
“In Bihar, slurs were used for my mother from an RJD-Congress stage. These slurs have not just insulted my mother, but every mother and sister in India. I know you are pained as much as I am after you heard this,” the Prime Minister said after launching the Bihar Rajya Jeevika Nidhi Saakh Sahkari Sangh Limited, which aims to provide accessible funding to women entrepreneurs in Bihar.
