An anti-terror operation in the Guddar forest area of Kulgam district in South Kashmir led to an intense gunfight between security forces and terrorists. The operation was initiated by a joint team consisting of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Army’s 9 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). They launched a search based on specific intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists. During the encounter, one terrorist was killed. A Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) from the Army sustained injuries and received medical attention. The operation continues as security forces work to neutralize the remaining threats.
