Following the GST reduction on cars, Skoda has announced price cuts of up to ₹3.3 lakh. The prices of cars have decreased due to GST 2.0. Several companies, including Tata, Hyundai, Mahindra, and Audi, have already announced the new prices, effective from September 22. The new GST structure will levy an 18% tax on small cars, while large vehicles will now be taxed at a flat 40%, down from the previous rate, including cess, of 45-50%.
Skoda India stated that it will pass on the complete benefit to its customers, resulting in price cuts of up to ₹3.3 lakh. In addition, the company is offering special festive discounts of up to ₹2.5 lakh for bookings made before September 21. The current price of Skoda Kodiaq starts from ₹46.89 lakh (ex-showroom). This car will now be cheaper by up to ₹3.3 lakh. However, the current festive offer benefit will be available only to those who book their cars before September 21.
