Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has filed a petition with the Delhi High Court seeking to prevent unauthorized use of her name, photographs, and AI-generated content. The actress’s legal counsel, Sandeep Sethi, informed the court that her images are being misused online, including the creation of fake images through artificial intelligence. The Delhi High Court has indicated its intention to issue an order safeguarding Bachchan’s personality and publicity rights, thereby prohibiting others from using her name, photos, or voice for commercial purposes or promotion without her consent. Justice Tejas Karia stated that the court will instruct platforms to remove web links that infringe upon her identity. Advocates Praveen Anand and Dhruv Anand, representing the actress, have alleged that various entities are unlawfully exploiting her identity, including the circulation of altered images in pornographic contexts. Senior advocate Sandeep Sethi argued that her name and pictures are being used for illicit purposes.
