The unveiling of the latest iPhones has generated considerable interest, with both the new features and the pricing of the iPhone 17 series drawing attention. The iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max have been priced at Rs 82,900, Rs 1,34,900, and Rs 1,49,900, respectively. This has led many potential buyers to consider whether purchasing the new iPhones from Dubai could offer cost advantages.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max is priced at Rs 1,49,900 in India, while in Dubai, the same model costs 5,099 AED, equivalent to approximately Rs 1,22,500. This represents a difference of around Rs 27,400. However, when factoring in the cost of a round trip from Delhi to Dubai, which is about Rs 22,619, the total expense, including the phone, amounts to roughly Rs 1,45,100. This results in a savings of only about Rs 4,800.
Furthermore, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is reportedly significantly cheaper in other countries, such as Vietnam, Thailand, and Japan. The American variant also offers a lower price point, although this varies by city due to differences in tax rates. Ultimately, the financial benefits of traveling to Dubai specifically to purchase the new iPhone may not outweigh the associated costs.
