This time, the shooting has directly touched President Donald Trump’s heart, as it claimed the life of Charlie Kirk, one of his closest associates. Trump himself expressed his grief on social media, announcing Kirk’s death. Trump ordered that all national flags in the country be flown at half-mast in Kirk’s honor.
Charlie Kirk was the CEO and co-founder of the conservative youth group Turning Point USA. Kirk, 31, was debating at Utah Valley University on Wednesday when he was shot and killed on the spot.
