Teja Sajja’s upcoming fantasy drama, ‘Mirai,’ is slated for release on September 12, 2025, in multiple languages including Telugu, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, and Bengali. The film has secured a substantial Rs 40 crore OTT deal, covering a significant portion (90%) of its Rs 50 crore production budget. Jio Hotstar acquired the digital rights in a record-breaking agreement, making it one of the most expensive Telugu digital acquisitions of the year. Further financial strength comes from additional revenue streams like music and satellite rights. Theatrical performance is expected to play a crucial role in the film’s overall profitability. Theatrical rights have been sold for Rs 37 crore in the Telugu states, and the film needs to earn at least Rs 34 crore to break even. Initial ticket bookings indicate strong audience interest, suggesting a promising opening and positive reception. Following the national success of ‘HanuMan,’ Teja Sajja has garnered recognition beyond the Telugu audience, and the Hindi release of ‘Mirai’ is highly anticipated. The film, presented by Karan Johar, also marks Manchu Manoj’s comeback as the main villain, which could prove pivotal for his career. The film is directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni and Anil Anand, featuring Teja Sajja, Ritika Nayak, Manchu Manoj Kumar, Shriya Saran, Jagapati Babu, and Jayaram Subramaniam in prominent roles. The project is backed by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad. The movie centers on a resourceful young man who discovers a special shield capable of preventing a powerful force from accessing the nine sacred books of Ashoka. It narrates his journey as he unveils the incredible power of the universe.
