Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, the Shankaracharya of Jyotishpeeth, has begun his electoral tour of Bihar. He intends to visit every district in the state, lending his support to independent candidates who stand for the protection of cows. The Shankaracharya will not be supporting any candidates from political parties. He stated that since everything is decided by votes, this is the course of action he will take.
He plans to engage with voters, emphasizing the importance of voting for independent candidates who are committed to protecting cows or advocating for their recognition as a national mother. The Shankaracharya clarified that he is not backing any political parties because none of them have expressed support for preventing cow slaughter.
