South Indian films, particularly those with smaller budgets, have made a significant impact this year, while major, highly anticipated films have not performed well. ‘Baaghi 4,’ starring Tiger Shroff, released in September, did not fare well. In contrast, ‘Mirai,’ released recently, has garnered considerable praise. The film, made on a budget of 60 crore, features Teja Sajja as the lead actor, opposite Ritika Nayak. Ritika is also gaining attention for her beauty. Teja Sajja’s previous film also received acclaim. Prior to ‘Mirai,’ Teja Sajja starred in ‘HanuMan,’ where his acting skills garnered attention. He performed all his stunts himself in that film. He is reported to have done the stunts himself in ‘Mirai’ as well. He recently appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show to discuss the film.
Teja Sajja’s film is receiving a tremendous response in Telugu. On its first day, the film earned 1.65 crore in Telugu and 1.65 crore in Hindi. On the second day, it earned 13.50 crore, bringing the total India earnings to 26.50 crore. Reports revealed that Manchu Manoj received the highest fee for the film, earning 3 crore, while Teja Sajja received 2 crore. He had signed the film before the release of HanuMan, so his fee was not increased.
According to reports, the actor received 2 crore for ‘HanuMan.’ Ritika received 50 lakh, Shriya Saran received 2 crore, Jagapathi Babu received 1.50 crore, and Jayaram received 80 lakh. While some reports state the film’s budget as 50 crore, others suggest 60 crore. The film performed well on Saturday, and it is expected to continue its strong performance on Sunday.
With the speed at which Teja Sajja’s film is earning, it is expected to recover its budget soon. If the film earns an additional 25 crore this week, the business will reach 50 crore, which is crucial before the next film’s release. Due to the quality of his work, Teja Sajja has gained the affection of audiences not only in the South but also in the Hindi-speaking regions. Consequently, he is now referred to as Pan-India superhero Teja Sajja.
