Shahid Kapoor is set to star in ‘Cocktail 2,’ marking a new venture for the actor. The announcement comes as Kapoor is also occupied with Vishal Bhardwaj’s film, tentatively titled ‘Romeo,’ which is slated for a December clash with Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandar.’ Kapoor shared two images on Instagram, one showing him in a car with the caption “Heading towards the next,” and another revealing the project “Cocktail 2.” The sequel boasts a fresh cast, including Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna, the latter of whom is known for her performance in ‘Pushpa 2,’ which earned over 1800 crore. The film promises a mix of romance, comedy, and drama. Filming is expected to conclude by January 2026, with locations including India and Europe. Kapoor’s other upcoming projects include ‘Arjun Ustran,’ while Sanon is involved in ‘Tere Ishq Mein,’ and Mandanna is set to appear in ‘Thama.’ The original ‘Cocktail’ earned 121 crore worldwide on a budget of 45 crore.
