A shocking incident has emerged from Patna, Bihar, where a disabled man was brutally murdered near a temple. The victim was killed by crushing him with stones, sending shockwaves through the area.
The incident occurred in the Gauri Sthan area, under the jurisdiction of Maner police station. The deceased has been identified as Jeet Lal Rai, a resident of Sherpur. He was living with his brother-in-law, Rudal Rai, in the Jivrakhan Tola area. Initial investigations suggest the murder was premeditated.
Police investigations, which included questioning witnesses, led to the revelation that the temple cleaner, Laxman Rai, implicated Gorakh Rai and his brother in the crime. CCTV footage from the temple confirmed that a person attacked a sleeping individual on the temple platform with a stone and fled, while another kept watch. The individual who committed the act was identified as Bulu Rai, a resident of Jivrakhan Tola, and the lookout was Laxman Rai. The police arrested Bulu Rai and Laxman Rai.
During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused sought to frame Gorakh and his brother. A few days prior, a loudspeaker was stolen from the temple, and Laxman Rai was questioned by the police. The accused suspected Gorakh and his brother of informing the police. Fueled by this suspicion, they murdered the disabled man sleeping on the platform, intending to falsely implicate Gorakh and his brother. The police are now proceeding with further legal actions.
