**Maruti Brezza**
The Maruti Brezza is less than 4 meters long, but it comes with a 1.5-liter petrol engine. Currently, the Maruti Brezza is priced between ₹8.69-13.98 lakh (ex-showroom) with 45% GST. However, from September 22nd, due to the reduced tax rate of 40%, its price is expected to decrease by ₹30,000-₹48,000 depending on the variant. After the GST changes, the Brezza’s price could be between ₹8.39-13.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
**Hyundai Venue**
The Hyundai Venue has benefited the most from GST 2.0, with its price in the Indian market reduced by up to ₹1.32 lakh. Due to changes in GST rates, the prices of both petrol (1.0 liter and 1.2 liter) and diesel (1.5 liter) variants of this SUV have significantly decreased. Previously, the Hyundai Venue’s petrol and diesel models were subject to approximately 29% (28% GST + 1% cess) and 31% (28% GST + 3% cess) tax, respectively, but now they have been placed in the 18% GST slab.
The Hyundai Venue is priced between ₹7.94-13.38 lakh (ex-showroom). However, after the implementation of GST 2.0, its price in the country will be between ₹7.26-12.05 lakh (ex-showroom). The range-topping diesel variant has become cheaper by ₹1.32 lakh, while the base variant’s price has been reduced by ₹68,000.
**Kia Sonet**
Like Hyundai, the Kia Sonet is also receiving the most benefit under GST 2.0 as the company has reduced its price by up to ₹1.64 lakh in the domestic market. Like the Venue, the Sonet also had 29% (28% GST + 1% cess) and 31% (28% GST + 3% cess) tax on petrol and diesel variants. However, after the GST changes, it has been placed in the 18% slab.
The Kia Sonet starts from ₹8 lakh and goes up to ₹15.74 lakh for the top-end GTX Plus DT diesel-automatic variant. However, after the GST change, its price will be between ₹7.30-14.10 lakh, reducing its price in the Indian market by ₹70,000-₹1.64 lakh.

Tata Motors recently announced that the price of the Nexon compact SUV will be reduced by up to ₹1.55 lakh in the market, effective from September 22nd. Like the Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet, the petrol and diesel variants of the Tata Nexon were subject to 29% (28% GST + 1% cess) and 31% (28% GST + 3% cess). However, after GST 2.0, all variants of the Nexon will have a uniform 18% GST.
**Mahindra XUV 3XO**
While every other automaker will implement the price changes from September 22nd after GST 2.0, Mahindra is the only auto brand in the country that started offering this benefit from September 6th. The company’s only sub-4 meter SUV, the XUV 3XO, has seen its petrol and diesel variants’ prices reduced by ₹1.40 lakh and ₹1.56 lakh, respectively.
Now, they will be subject to 18% tax compared to the old slabs of 29% and 31%. Before the announcement of GST 2.0 in the country, this SUV was priced at ₹7.99-15.80 lakh. Now, its price is between ₹7.28-14.40 lakh because the prices have dropped by ₹71,000-₹1.56 lakh depending on the variant.
