Former US President Donald Trump reported that the US military conducted a second strike on a vessel believed to be transporting narcotics from Venezuela, resulting in the deaths of three individuals. The incident, which occurred in international waters, targeted what Trump described as drug trafficking cartels and narcoterrorists in the SOUTHCOM area. In a post on Truth Social, Trump characterized the illegal narcotics as a deadly weapon endangering Americans.
The post detailed that the strike was carried out on his orders against confirmed narcoterrorists from Venezuela while they were in international waters. The post emphasized that these cartels pose a threat to US national security. Trump issued a warning: ‘IF YOU ARE TRANSPORTING DRUGS THAT CAN KILL AMERICANS, WE ARE HUNTING YOU!’ He highlighted the devastating consequences of these cartels’ activities on American communities, citing millions of American deaths. The post concluded with a statement that this would no longer be tolerated. Earlier, on September 3rd, the US military conducted a strike against an alleged drug boat linked to the Venezuela cartel ‘Tren de Aragua,’ resulting in eleven fatalities.
