Following their defeat to India in the Asia Cup 2025, Pakistan faced another setback off the field. A handshake controversy arose during the India-Pakistan match, prompting the PCB to request the removal of match referee Andy Pycroft from his duties. The PCB alleged that Pycroft had instructed players from both countries not to shake hands. However, the ICC has now issued its decision on the matter, rejecting the PCB’s demand to remove Andy Pycroft. Reports indicate that the ICC dismissed the complaint shortly after it was lodged by the PCB.
