Aamir Khan, known for his commitment to perfection in Bollywood, is currently in the spotlight. Discussions surround his upcoming films, with his comeback this year proving successful with ‘Taare Zameen Par’. However, the question of his next project remains. News indicates a major film has been put on hold, leaving many wondering about the last-minute changes that have also reportedly affected the director.
Khan was slated to work with Rajkumar Hirani on a biopic about ‘Dadasaheb Phalke’. This project was highly anticipated as it would have been their third collaboration following the success of films like ‘3 Idiots’ and PK. However, the film has now been put on hold, disappointing fans. The reasons behind this delay are yet to be fully revealed.
Recent reports suggest that Aamir Khan was presented with the script for ‘Dadasaheb Phalke’ by Rajkumar Hirani and Abhijat Joshi. The actor reportedly felt that the script lacked essential elements needed for a theatrical release. He expected the film to have the same blend of comedy and emotion found in his previous successful projects, but the script didn’t provide it. Consequently, Khan expressed dissatisfaction with the script. He requested Rajkumar Hirani to rewrite and resubmit it.
Reportedly, Rajkumar Hirani was surprised by Khan’s reaction. Abhijat Joshi was also reportedly shocked. The film was scheduled to begin shooting in October. However, changes have been made before the film could even go into production. Khan is now focusing on other scripts, meeting with various people in the industry to listen to their stories.
In addition to the Dadasaheb Phalke biopic, the superhero film with Lokesh Kanagaraj is also reportedly shelved. Disagreements between Khan and Kanagaraj regarding the project’s concept led to this decision. Kanagaraj may proceed with the superhero film with a different actor; however, the film is currently closed.
