A military agreement, akin to NATO, has been established between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. This agreement stipulates that an attack on one nation will be considered an attack on the other. Both countries released a joint statement indicating the agreement aims to enhance their security and promote global peace. The agreement also involves the development of defense cooperation between the two nations. India is closely monitoring the developments related to this agreement.
India has responded to the agreement between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that the government was aware of the agreement beforehand. It will now study the impacts of the agreement on national security, regional and global stability.
He added that India is committed to protecting its national security and interests. The agreement was signed in Riyadh by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
