Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt had associations with underworld don Abu Salem, which led to his imprisonment. He was found guilty of possessing illegal weapons in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blast case, weapons provided to him by Abu Salem. Additionally, Sanjay Dutt met with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and even attended a party at Dawood’s house. This was revealed by Sanjay Dutt himself in an interview.
Following the 1993 Mumbai bomb blast case, Sanjay Dutt was questioned by the police and investigation agencies. During this time, the actor mentioned his meeting with Dawood. Sanjay met Dawood during the shooting of his film ‘Yalgaar’. Actor and director Firoz Khan had arranged their meeting.
Sanjay recounted that he gave dates to Firoz Khan for the film ‘Yalgaar’ in December 1991. Firoz directed this film, and the shooting also took place in Dubai. It was then that Firoz Khan introduced Sanjay Dutt to Dawood Ibrahim. Sanjay stated, “During the shooting, Firoz Khan introduced me to Dawood Ibrahim.”
Sanjay further mentioned that during the shooting, Firoz also introduced him to Dawood’s brother, Anees. Subsequently, Anees frequently visited the sets of ‘Yalgaar’. The actor added, “During the shooting, one day Dawood invited our entire unit to his house for dinner. Like the other unit members, I also attended that party.”
Sanjay Dutt also revealed that during the party, he met several other people connected to the underworld, including Iqbal Mirchi, Sharad Shetty, and Chota Rajan. Along with the ‘Yalgaar’ unit, many Pakistani artists also attended the party.
