The third installment of the popular courtroom comedy-drama ‘Jolly LLB’ series, starring Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, has generated considerable excitement. In this new film, the two actors will be pitted against each other, reprising their roles as the titular Jollys. Early box office numbers indicate a positive start for ‘Jolly LLB 3’.
On its opening day, ‘Jolly LLB 3’ reportedly collected Rs 12.50 crore. The film is expected to maintain a strong performance throughout its first weekend.
Alongside Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, the cast includes Saurabh Shukla, Gajraj Rao, Huma Qureshi, and Amrita Rao, all of whom are reprising their roles from previous installments. The narrative of ‘Jolly LLB 3’ centers on Jolly Mishra and Jolly Tyagi as they confront each other in Judge Tripathi’s court, tackling a new legal case.
The first film in the series featured Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani, Amrita Rao, and Saurabh Shukla. The storyline involved Advocate Jagdish Tyagi, or Jolly, who fought against judicial corruption while taking on the hit-and-run case of six laborers.
‘Jolly LLB 2’, released in 2017, introduced Akshay Kumar as Jagdishwar Mishra, also known as Jolly. Huma Qureshi, Annu Kapoor, and Kumud Mishra joined the cast. The film focused on a lawyer determined to bring justice to the victim of a staged encounter orchestrated by a corrupt police officer and a presumed-dead terrorist, battling against a powerful advocate.
