The political alliance in Bihar is in full swing ahead of the assembly elections. Amidst the political buzz, TV9 Digital organized a digital meeting to discuss political views. This digital meeting was held in 5 cities of Bihar, with the fifth and final phase being in Purnia. During the digital meeting in Purnia, AIMIM’s Adil Hasan stated that they are not enemies of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). He mentioned that the RJD has failed to defeat the NDA in several elections. Hasan asserted that Tejashwi Yadav cannot become Chief Minister without their support. In response, RJD spokesperson Dr. Alok countered by saying that AIMIM has no base in Seemanchal.
Addressing the question of whether they would aim to defeat the NDA or the RJD in the Purnia digital meeting, AIMIM’s Adil Hasan said, “Our goal is to do justice to Seemanchal. Asaduddin Owaisi came to Seemanchal on August 16, 2015, and after that, the Seemanchal Development Board was first discussed. He also brought a private bill in Parliament. He also said that the injustice done to us should be addressed. We are not enemies of the RJD. We have always supported the opposition, whether it was the election of the Vice President or something else.”
Adil Hasan further remarked on RJD, stating, “When you haven’t been able to defeat the NDA in several elections from 2005 to 2024, why are you making such claims? You should fight the elections together. We fought from places like Gopalganj, Imamganj, and Raniganj. The RJD lost, and we also lost, which benefited the BJP.”
Responding to Adil Hasan’s remarks, RJD leader Dr. Alok said, “If you want to stop the BJP, you can support us without contesting elections. You can stop them by supporting the RJD.”
Dr. Alok also accused, “Till date, AIMIM leaders have not come to Lalu Yadav or Tejashwi Yadav with any proposal. Some people want to show such proposals with a lot of fanfare. They don’t want to come; instead, they are the people sponsored by the BJP. They are misleading people that they want to come. That’s why they are just creating an atmosphere.”
Regarding AIMIM, he said that Lalu Yadav’s sole purpose is not to allow communal forces to emerge. Our party will make whatever sacrifices are necessary to prevent communal elements and stop the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Political analyst Pankaj Bhartiya, when asked about RJD’s reluctance towards AIMIM, said that there is no doubt that Alok may deny it, but the truth is that AIMIM has a presence in Seemanchal. He said that AIMIM made its political strength felt in 2020. Although the circumstances have changed this time, it does not mean that the situation is as bad as RJD is dismissing AIMIM. The question now is why these people are denying the strength of AIMIM. RJD and Congress can understand this better.
Pankaj Bhartiya believes that since RJD and Congress have been assuming that they have a monopoly on the minority votes, they do not want to include AIMIM to create a new partner. They don’t want a third party to get involved. He says that whenever Owaisi comes to Seemanchal, he speaks in a very aggressive manner. It is certain that AIMIM has become a political force in Seemanchal today.
AIMIM leader Adil Hasan stated, “Tejashwi Yadav will not become the Chief Minister of Bihar without us. We are not saying that Tejashwi will not be able to become the Chief Minister. But if we field our candidates in 100 seats, their situation will worsen. We don’t want the BJP to come to power again, so we want to come with the RJD.”
Dr. Alok, cutting short Adil Hasan’s statement, said that in the 2020 elections in Seemanchal, the leaders who won in the 5 seats also had their own support base. Not only the party, but the leaders of AIMIM also had their own support base in the victory. AIMIM has no special support base in Seemanchal.
Regarding Prashant Kishor (PK) being a big factor, Adil Hasan said that it is good that he is coming. He brought Modi in 2014. He himself said that he lied. He is a good director but not a good actor. Prashant Kishor is making good efforts.
