Political tensions in Bihar are escalating as the assembly elections draw near. The ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in Patna, supported by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has already generated controversy. Now, the RJD faces scrutiny following the circulation of a video clip from Tejashwi Yadav’s ‘Bihar Adhikar Yatra’ in Mahua. The video, shared by the BJP, alleges that RJD workers hurled insults at PM Narendra Modi’s late mother during the event. Samrat Choudhary, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader, shared the video on X, accusing Tejashwi Yadav of disrespecting PM Modi’s mother and undermining Bihar’s culture. Choudhary claims Yadav encouraged RJD workers who were allegedly abusing the Prime Minister’s late mother. The RJD has refuted these claims, asserting that the BJP is using a doctored video to defame the party. RJD leader Mukesh Raushan stated that no RJD worker insulted PM Modi’s mother and that the video was manipulated to damage Yadav’s reputation.
