A devastating road accident occurred in Chhatarmandu, Ramgarh, on Monday. A bus filled with passengers collided with a coal-laden truck, resulting in three fatalities. Approximately 24 other passengers sustained injuries in the collision, with six reported to be in serious condition. The deceased included the truck driver, Manish Kumar, a resident of Keredari, Hazaribag, and Vilaso Devi, a woman from Jenamod, Bokaro. Following initial treatment, more than half a dozen injured passengers were referred from Sadar Hospital to RIMS for further medical attention. Ramgarh police arrived at the scene promptly upon receiving the information and initiated rescue operations.
According to initial reports, the driver of the bus, identified as Sri Gokul (JH 10 BM 8219), was attempting to overtake when the vehicle collided with a coal-laden truck (JH 13 C 0232) coming from the opposite direction. The truck driver and a female passenger died instantly at the scene.
