President Donald Trump is scheduled to deliver a significant address at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). The central theme of his speech will be the revitalization of American power on the global stage under his leadership. The address is expected to highlight the ‘historic accomplishments’ achieved during the initial eight months of his second term, including the resolution of seven global conflicts. He is also set to meet with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, as well as leaders from Ukraine, Argentina, and the European Union. A multilateral meeting with representatives from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Turkey, Pakistan, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan is also planned. The speech will likely address the perceived decay of world order due to ‘globalist institutions’ and outline his ‘straightforward and constructive vision’ for global cooperation. This marks his fifth address at the UNGA.
