Super Typhoon Ragasa, following its destructive path through Taiwan and the Philippines, is forecasted to make landfall today between Taishan and Zhanjiang in China. The storm has already resulted in at least 14 fatalities in Hualien city, with 124 individuals reported missing after a barrier lake breached its banks, inundating a nearby town. Rescue operations are underway in the popular tourist hub, with 240 troops deployed to assist.
