The highly anticipated sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, titled Ghost of Yotei, is nearing its release on the PlayStation 5. Developed by Sucker Punch, this open-world title plunges players into a revenge narrative set in feudal Japan. The game allows players to journey across the country.
Atsu, a lone mercenary, is driven by vengeance to eliminate the Yōtei Six, the masked outlaws responsible for the murder of her family. To accomplish this, she adopts the persona of the “Ghost.”
Players will explore the challenging terrain of Ezo, circa the 1600s. Atsu’s journey will lead her through diverse environments, including tranquil hot springs, misty forests, and snow-covered mountains. The open-world design offers a non-linear experience, empowering players to choose the order in which they confront the Yōtei Six.
Ghost of Yotei maintains its action combat roots while incorporating new mechanics and weapons to enhance the gameplay. Players can wield two katanas, the formidable odachi, and even employ a grappling hook for traversing cliffs and obstacles.
