The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is adopting an aggressive stance in preparation for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections. Following the announcement of the election in-charge team on Thursday, a crucial meeting of the campaign and core committee was convened on Friday in Patna. The meeting, which included Union Home Minister Amit Shah, election in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan, and senior BJP leaders from Bihar, focused on the upcoming elections and candidate selection. Reports indicate that a report on potential candidates was presented, with the Screening Committee’s findings submitted to election in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan and B.L. Santhosh after two days of meetings. During the meeting, Amit Shah instructed party leaders to be fully prepared for the assembly elections. He addressed party workers, engaging in extensive discussions on election strategies. The meeting was attended by election in-charge and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, along with State in-charge Vinod Tawde and National Secretary (Organization) B.L. Santhosh, among other top leaders. The meeting took place at the BJP’s Bihar headquarters, adorned with Amit Shah’s posters. He is scheduled to visit Samastipur and Araria on Saturday, where he will interact with party workers in both districts. This marks Amit Shah’s second visit to Bihar in the past week; he previously addressed workers in Rohtas and Begusarai districts on September 19th. Earlier on Friday, the Home Minister met with party workers in Bettiah, the headquarters of West Champaran. He shared photos of the meeting on the social media platform X, stating that he met with senior party workers from the Saran and Champaran regions and provided instructions for the upcoming elections. He noted that the workers from the 10 organizational districts of these regions, covering 45 assembly seats, are expected to work diligently at the booth level. He emphasized the crucial role these regions will play in forming an NDA government with a massive majority in Bihar. The BJP is contesting the elections in Bihar under the NDA alliance, which includes the Janata Dal United led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas Paswan) led by Chirag Paswan, and the Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) of Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi. Additionally, the Rashtriya Lok Morcha of Rajya Sabha MP Upendra Kushwaha is also part of the alliance.
